Whether you visit us in order to walk, cycle or generally explore, there are many things to see and do in one of the prettiest parts of England. Why not start off right from our front door with a six minute walk to the top of Hardown Hill (National Trust) to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of  three counties, Lyme Bay, stretching from beyond Portland Bill in the East, right across to Dartmoor.  Golden Cap, the highest headland on the South Coast is a favourite walk with our visitors. Test your skills at finding 190 million year old fossils on the local beaches. If you are staying more than two nights then we can lend you fossil hunting equipment, binoculars, maps and walking guides.
Our neighbour Martin operates Marshwood Trials, offering several tours of the local scenic highspots using electric bikes. It’s a great way to see a lot of the beauty of the area. Even if you haven’t ridden a bike in ages. Once tried, the chances are you will want to buy one yourself as they are great fun.
